  1. Brecon's Bridge Is Born!

Drum roll please... Brecon's bridge has landed (literally) and it was quite an amazing engineering feat to witness! Thanks to Mother Nature for a picture-perfect installation day... check out the cool installation video: https://vimeo.com/195539879

  2. Brecon named "Winery of the Year 2016" by Doug Wilder, purely domestic wine report

Great news from the purely domestic wine report, a very prestigious independent review publication for wine industry insiders based in Napa by Doug Wilder. Damian was “initially surprised and pretty humbled before fully appreciating the magnitude of this latest award as it represents the breadth of our winery's offerings and customer experience, rather than a single exquisite wine. It also emanates from a publication truly influential in the wine industry.”

  3. Brecon receives a Wine Enthusiast Best of Year!

Brecon’s 2015 True Acacia Head makes Wine Enthusiast’s December Best of Year issue. Merry Christmas to those of you still holding on to this sold-out award winner! “Made in barrels that have acacia wood on the heads, this bottling initially shows aromatic lemongrass and cut-grass greenness before offering riper peach, pear and almond oil on the nose. It tightens up on the sip, where tart apple skins, green pear and light honeysuckle flavors arise.”

  4. Brecon's 2014 Petit Verdot receives a GOLD from Wine Enthusiast!

Brecon’s 2014 Petit Verdot (Templeton Gap) scored 90 points in the November issue of Wine Enthusiast. “In Blackberry and black cassis meet with deep lilacs on the rich but somewhat single-toned nose of this bottling. The palate is bursting with fresh blackberrry juice, leveled by touches of cedar and pipe tobacco.”

  5. The Somm Journal reviews Albarino's from the Central Coast!

Great read in the fall issue of The Somm Journal about California’s Albarino and the Albarino Summit at Brecon. Join us next year?

  7. Brecon's Cab Franc featured in September issue of Wine Business Monthly's Varietal Focus

If you're a fan of Brecon Estate's Cab Franc, you'll love the Varietal Focus section in the September issue of Wine Business Monthly. Damian even gives away some of his tips on how he tames this "randy" varietal into an award winner.

  8. Jeb Dunnuck reviews Brecon wines in August issue of The Wine Advocate

Jeb Dunnuck stuck his most discerning nose into some of Brecon’s current and upcoming offerings during bottling season. This is of course the absolutely trickiest time to taste wines, so we are especially thrilled to receive these scores in last month’s issue of The Wine Advocate!

    2013 BE Petite Sirah - 90+ pts.
    2014 BE Estate Syrah - 91 pts.
    2014 BE Mourvedre - 90 pts.

    Advanced scores from pre-bottling samples:
    2014 BE Cab Franc - (89 - 91 pts.)
    2014 BE Meritage/Reserve Cab - (87 - 90 pts.)

  9. Two 93's from Wine Enthusiast!

Brecon is continuing its gold medal run! Check out these reviews in the September issue of Wine Enthusiast:

2014 Mourvedre, 93 points - Extremely fresh and fragrant aromas of black plums, baked alpine strawberries, vanilla and Mission figs prove rich and inviting on the nose. The ripe fruit flavors show on the palate as does an abundance of purple flowers, baked gingerbread and exotic brown spice, making for a tasty pour.

2014 Syrah, 93 points - Done in the rich Paso style, this bottling shows fresh blackberry jam, crushed thyme, rosemary and vanilla on the seductive nose. The lavish palate offers espresso syrup, caramel and dense vanilla-laced blueberry. It's a great bottling for those who love a rich and decadent style.
